Change 1’s Workforce Development program supports youth ages 14–24 impacted by foster care by combining job readiness training with healing-centered support. We help young people build confidence, explore careers, practice interview skills, complete applications, and connect with caring adults who understand their journey. Our goal is to create supportive, youth-centered spaces where they can gain real-world skills and move toward independence.

Level Up & Learn is a job readiness and healing resource fair for youth ages 16–24 impacted by foster care. This event offers employment support, wellness activities, lunch, and resources in a supportive, youth-centered environment.

EYA is a dynamic collaboration between Change 1 and Travis County & City of Austin's Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). Together, we bring you a unique and transformative summer experience that combines the best of both worlds. With our combined resources and expertise, we're dedicated to providing young people with the tools, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed.
Our program features a comprehensive 7-week summer youth employment experience that goes beyond the ordinary. Through a blend of hands-on activities, workshops, and mentorship opportunities, participants will gain valuable life skills, explore career pathways, and build meaningful connections with peers and professionals.
EYA welcomes youth aged 14-17 currently in foster care who reside and/or attend school in Travis County. Additionally, we extend our arms to young individuals with disabilities, offering inclusive opportunities for participation up to the age of 22.
