Our Contribution
Change 1 was proud to contribute to a community-led effort to address the connection between foster care and youth homelessness in Austin. This report was developed through a collaborative task force facilitated by LifeWorks, bringing together public agencies, community organizations, and leaders with lived experience to identify solutions and next steps.
As an organization rooted in lived experience and systems reform, Change 1 contributed insight on the real barriers young people face when transitioning out of foster care, as well as strategies to improve long-term housing stability.
